The Man From Snowy River - Movie Review
The fantastic Australian masterpiece made in 1981, based on the classic poem written by Banjo Patterson, The Man From Snowy River, is a marvellous movie about love, conflicts and of course horses. The story begins with the tragic and unexpected death of the father of Jim Craig (Tom Burlinson), Henry Craig. Also, Jim's beloved horse, Bess, runs off with the brumbies that caused the death of Henry Craig.

for the time without any special effects involved. Some parts in the film seemed to come across farfetched, but otherwise it was an extremely moving movie based in outback Australia.
This movie is great for the year which it was made in. It tells the story of The Man From Snowy River just as Banjo Patterson would have wanted it to be. Overall, it is a movie to see, and I would rate it 4 stars.
