The Whiskey Priest may not be the most admirable person in the beginning of The Power and the Glory, but by the end of the novel he proves to be more admirable than thought to be. The continuous hiding, drinking, and unethical acts of the Priest come from his moral virtues, which plays a major role in the life of the Priest.
