The Reign of Terror

…Revolution, was set up to protect the people and nation of France. This protection lead to the murder of thousands in what is known as the Reign of Terror. Robespierre, the leader of the Committee, pushed the sever justice to protect against the enemies of liberty. The Law of Suspects was used to give the committee the power to commit the mass murders. In the end Robespierre himself was a victim of his own terror.
