William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" is a very sad story of two young lovers who take their lives after their families make it to difficult for them to live together in peace and happiness. The question in this epic tale is who was responsible for Romeo and Juliet's downfall. was only trying to be a friend to Romeo therefore he is not to blame. Juliet's Nurse was convinced by Juliet's passion therefore she is not to blame. Friar Lawrence was only thinking for good therefore he is not to blame. Romeo and Juliet rushed into a situation that would never work without any thinking causing many deaths and great hurt. Therefore they are the only ones who can take full responsibility for their downfall.
