This essay is titled, "Evil, or Boring", and is mainly about good and evil.

Evil, or Boring All novels, all poetry, are built on the never-ending contest in ourselves of good and evil. Everyday we see people acting like good citizens. They aren't going out and building houses for starving orphans with AIDs, but they aren't going around causing mayhem either. So since they aren't doing anything wrong, we group them into the "good" category. Because, they could be doing something worse, right? We get used to people acting "…

…desired, is what needs to occur in order for life to be possible, evil and wickedness is what keeps us from going crazy. Things out of the ordinary, that seem like they would cause too much of a distraction, or cause one's eyes to veer too far from the "truth" are labeled evil. The unfamiliar while unfriendly, unforgiving, and looked down upon, is the basis for the most interesting and entertaining stories, conversations, and lifestyles.
