Indian Removal During the early nineteenth century, there was great dispute over the morality and legality of the government's decision to force the Native Americans off their land. Throughout the attempt to gain more land from the Indians, the government made many treaties and agreements. Even though they had numerous treaties, the Indians and the American Government never seemed to be able to hold them. The Americans still just pushed the Indians further and further …

…the land that we have already take, one possible solution would be to write an official document saying that we will stay where we are and they will stay where they are and just treat them as a separate country. If we did that they would be able to go about their lives and not have to worry about us taking more of their land and we wouldn't have to worry about rebellions from them.
