Captured from their homes in Africa, then shipped to America under extremely poor conditions, and then sold to the highest bidder, this was part of the average slave's life. This was the sort of life slaves lead in their new foreign homeland. Put to work and forced to live with these new conditions of America, these slaves had no other choice, but to do as told as those that chose not to listen were made …

…they suffered from where they came from. By comparison, there is no doubt that they did make it to paradise by looking at what they came to and what they left. Though the conditions that they came into in the warehouses and minimum waged jobs that they worked in were dreadful, blacks made the right choice in coming to Canada for their freedom, for with out your freedom what u can achieve is very limited.
