The United States actions during WWII Many people question whether or not the United States did as much as they could have to stop the killing of so many people in Germany during WWII. Some of the other countries felt sympathetic towards the Axis powers and we wanted them to see that what they were doing was wrong and they should not be sympathetic to them. We wanted them to see that killing million of men, women and children was awful and no one needed to be sympathetic to someone that was doing that.
