thereby causing a 5 to 10 percent loss of body weight per year. Another drug currently on the market called Meridia (or sibutramine) which was approved in 1996 surpresses appetite. However, both these drugs have their side effects - Meridia can raise blod pressure, while Xenical can cause diarrhea and fecal incotinence if you eat too much fat while taking it. Even without the side effects, I would study away from any weight loss supplement, considering their record.
