Why is the Rich Man consigned to 'hell' without so much as a judgment or a reason for it?

Parables are stories that are told by Jesus, in the New Testament, to convey his religious message. These stories may not be accurate nor be true. In Luke 16: 19-31, we read a short parable about a "Rich man" and another man named "Lazarus" and their fate that awaits them after death. …were because of their behavior. Lazarus knew that even though that he was poor, there is a better life besides that so he lived by the word of God. God saw this and let him into heaven. The Rich man was sent to be in torment and be to hell. God doesn't want us to be wealthy or neither poor, he wants us to follow him. It is God who gives you power and wealth.
