It is easy to see why object oriented programming is more desirable especially for fixing errors in code. If object oriented programming was used extensively the Y2K problem would be much easier to deal with. Changes in object oriented programming code can be made quickly and inexpensively. There would still be problems with embedded chips and the devises that carry them, but with object oriented code the problem is much smaller.
