Juvenile crime is a problem in American society today. Some believe the best action to take against these teens is to throw them in jail and forget about them. It costs $4,300 a year per child in community service as opposed to $35,000 to $65,000 a year to keep them in a jail.(Sandy, 20) With this said it easy to realize that locking a juvenile up and isolating them from society is not always the best thing to do.
