Zoroastrianism was the main religion of the Achaemenian, Parthian, and Susanian empires, which is a span well over a thousand years. It was finally put to a halt when the Muslims invaded Iran in the seventh century A.D. (Clarke 121-22). Today in India and Pakistan there are about 100,000 Zoroastrians. Many are also found in Iran, Hong Kong, North America, Britain, and East Africa.
