Should college athletes be paid?
Over the years, the debate on whether or not to pay collegiate athletes, specifically Division 1, has increased greatly. With athletes bringing in millions of dollars to their respective schools, many believe it's time to make a change. to seven digits a year, why do they need more. If it's divided among the fifteen on the basketball team, that's $20,000 per athlete. Or like in football, where there are more players, that's still $5,000 an athlete. That's a lot more then they're making now, and there are more contracts then that the schools and coaches sign. There are so many different methods of solving this problem; it's about time the NCAA starts looking at them.
