…screams for George who calms Lennie down by having him picture their dream place across the river. When Lennie does this George pulls out a gun and shoots Lennie in the back of the head. I think Mr. Steinbeck was trying to sa that you should always follow your dreams. The main inportant message of the novel is that you should not be selfish and consider the other people around you who are less fortunate.
