William Howe
William Howe, a british soldier who commanded the army in North America during the American Revolution, the brother of Richard Howe , was born on August 10, 1729, he was educated at Eton, and was commissioned a cornet in the Duke of Cumberland's Light Dragoons (1764); promoted to lieutenant (1747),He joined the army in 1746, and served under Wolfe at Louisburg (1758) and Quebec, where he led the famous advance to the Heights of Abraham.
